Q. Why do I have to specify a price for you to find my basket?
A. When you specify a price, you are agreeing to buy the basket if we can find it at or below your price. When we search through our network of basket suppliers, knowing your price allows us to determine whether we have a someone with your basket. When we find someone with the basket that you're looking for at the right price, we will commit to purchasing the basket on your behalf; we then expect that we will be able to complete the transaction with you. |

Q. What are "Signed Baskets"?
A.
All Longaberger Baskets are initialed and dated by the weaver. However, some of the baskets
listed in on our web site have additional signatures: Longaberger family members and/or other people significant in the history of the Longaberger Company.
The signature of the late Dave Longaberger, the company founder, is one of the most
sought-after signatures. Dave had 11 siblings, all of whom have signed baskets at one time
or another. Other significant family members are Dave's mother, Grandma Bonnie, and his
two daughters, Rachel and Tami.
Another notable signer is Ken Birkhimer, the first employee and weaver at the Longaberger
Company. Ken has just recently started signing baskets and those with his signature are
likely to increase in value.

Q. How do I know if I'm getting a good price?
A. Get yourself a Bentley! The Bentley Guide is an essential reference for every Longaberger Collector. The guide lists all of the baskets ever made by TLC, grouped by series. There is a picture of almost every basket, along with the average selling price and the high selling price for each basket. Once you have your Bentley, we think you'll appreciate our prices even more. |
